Project Objective
The aim of this project was to create a proof of concept for a responsive website Annual Report Website for the GDC (Graphic Designers of Canada) based on the design of the printed piece.
Design Solution
As one of the few UX designers that are Certified Graphic Designers within the GDC, this was my reaction to the release of yet another "precious" printed annual report with absolutely no web component. I really wanted to highlight that it was possible and desireable to create a web equivalent of equal value to the original, so I took it upon myself to create a proof of concept responsive website to show that you can create an impactful responsive site using the same graphical language as used in the printed Annual report.
This would raise the profile of UX and web design within the organization and hopefully allow the to better communicate with their current and future membersand hopefully encourage the organization to put effort into creating a web-based anual reports in the future.
